Keeping up with Canva
If you’re a Canva user, you know that the design platform is always adding new features to make your design experience better. But with all the new additions, it can be hard to keep up! Here’s a quick rundown of some of the latest features from Canva so you can stay on top of your design game:
1 / Advanced filters
Canva’s new advanced filters allow you to fine-tune your images for the perfect look. With options for brightness, contrast, saturation, and more, you can get your photos looking just the way you want them. As an added bonus you can save your filters like a filter, to use over & over!
2 / Custom fonts
Canva now allows you to upload your own fonts! So if you’ve got a signature style or a favourite font that you just can’t live without, you can now use it in your Canva designs. Just head to the brand tab in tools and put them into a new brand kit!
3 / Hide presentation pages
Have you used Canva to create business presentations? Yeahhhh, we have as well! Now, their presentations have advanced to a new level. This helpful feature lets users conceal selected slides until they’re ready to reveal them. Maybe you’re still working on your deck or testing various options before deciding on a final format. Simply right-click any pages you don’t want your audience to see and then extend them if you decide they’re appropriate for your prez.
4 / Create cross-platform social media campaigns
Of course, you understand the importance of constant branding across all platforms. But we see the difficulties involved in running a business while attempting to meet all platform requirements. With just a few clicks, this great Canva capability allows you to create numerous Facebook posts, Instagram posts, Pinterest posts, and email messages at once. Simply pick your preferred formats and insert text for Quick Create to suggest template alternatives that are tailored to your needs.
5 / Be inspired by ‘/’ within the Editing Canvas
This is the thrilling shortcut that will truly feel like you’re a brand designer. To be presented with alternatives from the Canva content library, while editing in the editing canvas, press the ‘/’ key. Simply add text, shapes, and other options without exiting and interrupting your creative flow by using this method.
6 / Integrate your Google Photos
This is one of the most exciting new features for us as business brand designers, but it’s also very exciting for personal users! The Google Photos app has now been integrated into Canva’s software, allowing you to access your pictures straight from there. Imagine how simple it’ll be to upload photos directly into your project!
7 / Add effects to your text
Canva has had a couple of really amazing features since its creation, but the opportunity to be creative with your content has been rather restricted. You may now make changes to ensure that your message is not overlooked on your page. Make use of the shape, transparency, shading, and other unique elements to get creative.
8 / Collaborate with Slack
Adding the Slack app to Canva was a stroke of genius. You can now receive comments, approvals, and updates while remaining within Canva when a few of you work on a project! The amount of time this saves and the levels of stress it eliminates are incredible.
9 / Bring your numbers to life
Flourish is the ideal platform for creating exciting, agency-worthy graphs, charts, and maps to bring your data to life. Now that Flourish has been integrated into Canva, you may use it with ease. Those engaging tales you’ve effortlessly woven together with Flourish? Simply drop them into your Canva editing canvas!
10 / Customisable Tables
It’s difficult to overstate how inconvenient and time-consuming creating tables can be, regardless of your platform! Except now if you’re using Canva. Adding a table of information to your artwork is as simple as a few clicks thanks to this really useful function. Choose a table from the sidebar, add it to your document, and then customise it to meet your needs after it’s on your page.
