We have a strong team culture, clear systems, and high expectations – in the best way. We’re now looking for a social media professional who can run client accounts and our own brand with equal skill and ownership.
About the role
This is an in-office role in Mona Vale. You’ll manage social media accounts across a portfolio of clients, plus Hey V.A.’s own presence. That means strategy, content creation, photography, video, scheduling, community management, and reporting – all of it, done well.
You’ll be supported by our design and strategy team, but you’ll own the social lane. We need someone who can work independently, flag what’s not working, and bring proactive ideas without being asked.
What you’ll be doing
- Social media management – Plan, schedule, post and manage content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn for multiple brands simultaneously
- Content creation – Write captions, design on-brand graphics, build carousels, shoot and edit Reels, and create content that reflects each client’s unique voice and visual identity
- Photography – Plan and execute studio shoots, profile images, on-location shoots, flat lays, lifestyle content and BTS. You’ll know how to operate a real camera, work with natural and artificial light, and deliver polished, edited finals
- Video editing – Shoot and edit short-form video (Reels, TikToks, BTS) using CapCut or equivalent. Must be able to produce fast, polished edits independently
- Meta Ads – Create and manage paid ad campaigns across Facebook and Instagram. Existing experience is a plus, but a strong foundation and willingness to develop your skills in this area is what we’re looking for
- Strategy and funnels – Build content calendars aligned to business goals, contribute to lead generation planning, and understand how social content fits into a broader sales funnel
- Community engagement – Monitor comments and DMs, maintain tone of voice, keep conversations active and on-brand
- Algorithm awareness – Stay across platform updates, feed and reach changes, and emerging content formats. Not just what’s trending but how the platforms are rewarding content right now
- Reporting and optimisation – Pull monthly performance reports and use the data to actually inform what comes next
You’re someone who…
- Has 3+ years of experience in social media and content creation roles, ideally across multiple brands or client accounts
- Can produce content that is visually consistent with a brand’s guidelines – fonts, colour palette, tone, the lot – without needing hand-holding
- Knows how to use a real camera. Studio setup, on-location, natural light, artificial light – you’re comfortable in all of it
- Edits photos in Lightroom or an equivalent app, and approaches editing with a trained eye, not just a preset
- Uses Photoshop or equivalent for graphic creation and asset editing
- Has working knowledge of CapCut or another video editing platform for short-form content
- Is genuinely across algorithm changes, not just viral sounds. You understand how reach, saves, shares, and engagement signals affect distribution across platforms
- Understands sales funnels and can connect content decisions to business outcomes – awareness, nurture, conversion
- Can manage multiple brand voices simultaneously without them bleeding into each other
- Writes clearly, creatively and with strong CTA awareness
- Is confident on camera when needed – Reels, Stories, BTS – but just as strong behind it
- Can work full-time from our Mona Vale office
Bonus points if you have experience with:
- Adobe InDesign or Illustrator
- Hands-on experience running and optimising Meta ad campaigns
- Later, Planable or Meta Business Suite
- Influencer briefing or UGC coordination
- Service-based or e-commerce clients
